This group consists of three male macaques: Pig-tailed macaque Gambing, Bonnet macaque Prins and hybrid macaque Bibo (mix Pig-tailed and Crab-eating macaque). All three have been at AAP together since the 90’s.
Because Gambing has physical ailments, Prins is not a very popular species and there was no interest for a mix species animal like Bibo, it took a long time before a new home for them was eventually found in the beautiful English Porfell Wildlife Park. In compliance with the import / quarantine requirements of England, the animals spent six months in Lakeview Monkey Sanctuary before going to their new home at the beginning of September.
