What we do - Outplaced until now  |  Friday, 18 March 2011

Prairie dog Ianus was handed over to Natuurhulpcentrum Opglabbeek in Belgium by a private owner and came to AAP in September 2009. Kempai too came to AAP via NHC in May 2010, after being found roaming the streets. An initial unison of both males was not successful. We decided to neuter the animals to diminish aggression. Fortunately the animals got along fine after that. On 18th March an Outplacement colleague delivered them at their new address, Zoo Hof in Germany, where they joined a few females in a beautiful, new enclosure. Here they can dig to their hearts’ content and live like a prairie dog should.
