Bina had just spent a half year at AAP before she got a new home at the Domaine de Pescheray. She was moved there at the same time as the prairie dogs Namid and Maka. Unfortunately, replacing an animal is not always a successful event. Some ten days after her move, we heard the sad news that Bina was deceased. She was found dead in the area where she was being introduced to four other visons. Bina’s autopsy revealed that despite the best efforts in France, she died of a pulmonary embolism (a small piece of tissue blocked the blood flow to her lungs). Why this happened just now, unfortunately we will never know.
