1 raccoon to De Zonnegloed, Belgium

Early 2011 AAP relocated four raccoons to the Belgian animal park De Zonnegloed. The plan was to add two animals more to this group. Two raccoons that had been captured by the nature centre Natuurhulpcentrum Opglabbeek in Belgium would be “mediated”by AAP and thus go directly from Opglabbeek to the zoo De Zonnegloed. Our employees accompanied the animals to assist with the integration into the existing group. For one of the raccoons this merging appeared to be "a bridge too far”. He is now stayed at AAP in Almere.
