Enforcing CITES in the Netherlands

The Netherlands is a large player in the international trade in exotic non-domesticated animals. The economic interests are enormous. Apart from legal trade, illegal trade in exotic animals is also substantial, although nobody knows the exact scope. AAP wants to use all its experience in diminishing the illegal trade. Apart from this, AAP works as a partner of the Dutch government, taking in animals they confiscate within the framework of the CITES convention.
