A five year old female raccoon and a five year old male raccoon arrived at AAP today after being rescued from the zoos of Limassol and Larnaca in Cyprus. They were named Towa (the female) and Tutelo. Both raccoons were housed solitary for years and kept in unsuitable conditions. Thanks to the organisation Animal Responsibility Cyprus (ARC) both animals were signed over to AAP and were put on a direct flight from Larnaca to Amsterdam.
