News - News  |  Wednesday, 28 July 2010

Last weekend nine larger mammals of AAP began a journey to their new home in Denmark. The safari park Ree Park Ebeltoft Safari , prepared a beautiful enclosure for our six raccoons and three skunks in the North-America part of the park.

Squirrel monkey NickyRee Park Ebeltoft Safari is an old friend of AAP. It is already a few years ago that Nicky, a squirrel monkey, found a new home and soon many other animals followed, ranging from prairie dog till sugar gliders. Also various groups of raccoons and skunks found their way to the North.

It didnt take long to successfully introduce the raccoon family existing of father Zoem, mother Miami and daughter Micmac (originally from Belgium), the female Tiwa (found hiding in a house in the French city Toulouse) and the two males Metoac (found roaming around the Dutch village Wolvega) and Nio (found in Spain). The male skunk Tobago (see photo on previous page) and the females Trini and Kitts were already together when they came to AAP in Februari 2009. All these animals will have a good time at the North-America part of Ree Park- Ebeltoft Safari!
