An update on Koko

At AAP there are so many animals with special stories to write about, that we sometimes almost forget to mention the good news about the animals that are simply doing well. Like Koko, the chimp that was rescued from Skopje Zoo in 2009, who is doing very well indeed.

Koko is at the moment together with Buddy. Before that, he was in a group with Urtain and Gingo. Koko quite easily adapts to any situation. Buddy however is a chimp that does not have a lot of social skills. For the first time, now that he is together with Koko, we see that he is learning a lot from him. Koko is a young male who tries to climb up the hierarchy ladder from time to time. He also still needs to learn a lot when it comes to this, so between the two of them there is a lot of learning going on, sometimes in a more gentle way then other times!
